The day has finally arrived, the long awaited and highly anticipated Pattaya tunnel will open today much to the delight of everyone in Pattaya as the tunnel promises to improve traffic flow around everyone’s favourite city.
The opening ceremony is scheduled to begin at 10am where crowds are sure to be gathering in anticipation of the festivities and speeches that are scheduled to happen.
The auspicious honour of opening the tunnel goes to the Government Communications Minister Akhom Termphitayaphaisit who following some speeches scheduled to start at 2pm will cut the ribbon at 3.10pm.
Now don’t jump the gun although the ribbon cutting will happen just after 3pm the tunnel won’t officially be open to the public until 10pm so those chomping at the bit to take a cruise through the tunnel don’t get caught out.
The tunnel project has been delayed by a number of setbacks but everyone will be happy to see it finally open especially those with loud exhausts, because who can resist hearing there exhaust echo off the walls of a good tunnel
