Pattaya Colour Run
This has to be literally one of the most colourful annual events held in the city. Pattaya Colour Run is a charitable fund raising event organized by Rotary Club Jomtien with sponsored entrants taking part in 2km and 5km fun runs.
Where does the colour come in?
Well, to make it more fun than the norm, a colour run involves powdered coloured paint of every colour from the rainbow! It’s messy, it’s a lot of fun and it’s certainly colourful! If you’re not sure to expect it’s basically like a Songkran celebration where the water has been substituted with powdered paint!
The races start at 8:00 a.m. so it’s not too hot and they take place at Pratumnak’s Buddha Hill, which has a very popular road running track. Entrance fees for runners is 400 Baht for the 2 Km run and 600 Baht for the 5 Km run. Prizes will be awarded for the Most Colourful Runner, Best Fancy Dress, Biggest Group, Heaviest Runner, Best Selfie and Oldest Runners!
Rotary Clubs across Thailand organize many fund raising fun events that benefit orphans and other underprivileged children and adults. This is a particularly well organized event and well worth getting involved with, plus you get to throw powered paint at everyone!
