This year is the 20th Anniversary of the Thepprasit Stadium Pattaya. This is one of the most popular boxing stadiums in the city and hosts many Muay Thai fights in particular. Muay Thai originated from Thailand in the 16th Century and is referred to as being “The Art of Eight Limbs”. Each limb is regarded as a weapon of war. The hands are the sword and dagger with the shins and forearms toughened up in training to be like armour, the elbow is like a heavy hammer or mace and the legs and knees are likened to the axe and staff. Definitely quite a discipline and not for the faint hearted.
Thailand’s King is a big fan of Muay Thai and the sport has grown immensely during his reign.
This promises to be a spectacular evening with some of the best fighters and promoters in the Kingdom competing, plus a World Title Fight! Highly recommended for all boxing fans!
